The ShareFile Desktop app is just what you need. ShareFile Desktop is a flexible, light weight desktop app for Windows, available to both Employee and Client users.

Download ShareFile Desktop from the Apps section of your account. Once installed, simply enter your account credentials and you’ll have access to your ShareFile data, right from your desktop. To upload or download files, simply drag the item in or out of the app. If you have some fancier file moves in mind, select your files or folders and use the smart context menu to perform the same actions available to you in the web app. Moving data has never been easier: drag and drop folders where you need them. Even better, intuitive right-click controls allow you to copy and paste data from one ShareFile location to another.

Have a large folder you want to upload, but don’t trust your browser to handle it? Just drag the folder into ShareFile Desktop. Modular window design allows you to resize certain menus, such as your download queue, so you can keep an eye on them while you get work done. Maybe you have a word document you need to wrap up, but really don’t have time to download the file, edit it, then upload it again.

Right-click the file and use the Open and Edit option to open your file in a native application on your PC, then save your changes right back to ShareFile. While we’re talking about nice and easy, you can also preview certain image files right from the desktop app. What good are all of these files if you can’t securely share them with others? You can share files and folders in just a few clicks. Email with ShareFile, or generate a link you can copy and paste wherever you need. You can also customize message options before sending.
